Forest Park
We are delighted to welcome you to Forest Park for our wedding day celebration. We invite you to take some time to explore the park’s many attractions or relax in its serene surroundings.
For those interested in a leisurely break, we recommend visiting The Boathouse at Forest Park, where you may enjoy light refreshments or a drink while overlooking the lake. Another wonderful nearby option is The Missouri History Museum, where you can check out fascinating exhibits on St. Louis history . If you prefer to stay outdoors, you may wish to visit the Jewel Box, a stunning glass conservatory surrounded by beautiful gardens, or take a peaceful stroll around Pagoda Circle. The World’s Fair Pavilion offers picturesque views of the park and is an ideal location for a quiet respite. And if you are feeling doing something bold while in fancy attire, consider a visit to the Saint Louis Zoo, one of the nation’s finest and a delightful way to spend an afternoon surrounded by animals and lush landscapes.
Demun Neighborhood
For those wishing to venture just beyond Forest Park, the charming DeMun neighborhood (located on the park’s eastern edge) offers a lovely selection of cafés, shops, and tree-lined streets perfect for a short stroll. This area holds special meaning for us, as it is home to Barrio, the wine bar where we shared our first date. Should you wish to experience a bit of our story, we warmly recommend stopping in for a glass of wine or a light snack before heading to the reception.
For Our Out-of-Town Guests
If this is your first visit to St. Louis, there are several wonderful areas nearby to explore. Just a short drive from Forest Park, The Delmar Loop offers a lively mix of local restaurants, boutiques, and music venues, along with the famous St. Louis Walk of Fame honoring notable figures from the city’s history. It’s an excellent spot to grab a bite, browse local shops, or simply soak in the neighborhood’s vibrant energy. Most importantly, it's the bride and groom's stomping grounds!
You may also wish to take a short trip downtown to see the city’s most iconic landmark, the Gateway Arch. Visitors can explore the Arch grounds, visit the museum beneath it, or even take a tram ride to the top for sweeping views of the Mississippi River and skyline, a quintessential St. Louis experience and a memorable way to make the most of your time in the city.
